Calvin Barnard of Active Boomer Singles and Outdoor Adventures For Singles invites us on his hike, described below: Pecos Hike on Holy Ghost Trail (Sunday 14 September). We will hit the road this time and go to one of my favorite places, Holy Ghost trail in the Pecos. Start at Holy Ghost Campground and head up the creek. Want to get one more Pecos trip in before the snow flies. This time of year is a bit late for wildflowers, except for the hardy asters and such. My destination will be a rather strenuous push to Stewart Lake. If we have a carload of people that would like a moderate version we can have an alternate destination where the trail breaks up from Holy Ghost Creek and up to Windsor Trail. The Campground is about 8240 ft and option 2 destination is about 9200 ft and about 4 miles in. There will be a few short stretches with a fairly steep grade. Steward Lake is about 10240 ft and about 7 miles in. I will be taking Arson and Guy and any other trail hardy and friendly dogs are welcome.
